Hot Springs is a very small area, but has great outdoor adventures! If you are in town, I highly recommend visiting Avant Crystal Mining and Wegner Phantom Quartz Mine because the people are fabulous and the experience of mining your own crystals is one-of-a-kind. I also recommend visiting Lake Catherine State Park!

Absolutely luv the historic area with bathhouse row and the Iconic Arlington Hotel!
Restaurants and shops for anything you would like. The mountains are just beautiful and add in all the fabulous lakes in area and you will find all sorts of activities to do. Just wonderful.
Oh and also don’t forget this area was the original home of baseballs spring training with much history not be seen here.

We loved using one of the bath houses.
We loved using one of the bath houses. We also like having a beer at the brewery inside Hot Springs national Park. We ate at Rolandos two times. Both times were excellent. We hiked to the waterfall at Lake Catherine and hiked to the tower inside the park. The old town is nice to stroll and look at shopping. We filled up a container with water from the springs at the free town water station. The bath tub races in June were a lot of fun. Nice area for a long weekend.
The location of the Hotel Hot Springs is excellent. The breakfast, which was included in the room cost, was very good and fresh. The parking was free, secure, and close to the hotel; even when lugging bags, it was doable. Charging stations, when they worked, were a terrific amenity. The room itself was comfortable with a spacious shower and fairly decent beds. The hotel probably would have been rated higher if our room was located in a different area of the hotel.
We loved that it was set away from Hot Springs, but close enough to get to downtown. We wanted a quiet retreat, away from city noise. This was perfect. The cabin had cable, wifi, the ability to cook and a wonderful front porch. The geese and the goslings came pretty close to us. It is a gated retreat and I loved that. We had the ability to kayak, which we will do the next time we visit. It was a comfy, low key environment.
The staff was amazing , our room was on the 10th floor very quiet. Nice view of the hills ,part of downtown. The room was better than we expected. After reading the reviews, yes the hotel is historic but, in the process of getting a little restored. So to accommodate guests they came up with special drinks during the process. The pools and hot tub was a bonus to our stay. Which I forgot to add pictures.
Very clean. Great location! Next to The Ohio Club. Easy walking to bath houses, stores, shops, attractions. Staff at the hotel were very professional, friendly, and accomodating. We went to The Rooftop Restaurant at The Waters on another Hot Springs trip in the summertime, and we really liked it. Would be so convenient if staying at The Waters. It had good food, drinks, and a lovely atmosphere and view.
This hotel was sparkling clean and everyone who worked there was extremely polite and helpful. Our babysitter canceled last minute and we had to bring our kids on the trip. They gave us a room with a pullout sofa for the same price. The kids thought we spent a fortune on the room because it was so nice. Everything was perfect and this is where we will stay every time we come to Hot Springs.
This is our fourth stay at this hotel. We just love it. It is perfect for our vacation to Hot Springs...location, facilities, dogs allowed, free parking. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, trails, restaurants, breweries, distillery, bath houses...our vehicle stays parked until we leave for home. The Happy Hollow is the only place I will stay when visiting Hot Springs.
There was no breakfast. But innkeeper tried to please us by upgrading our room as the first one shown wasn't up to our expectations. She gave us a very nice, clean upgraded room and we were very comfortable. The outside of the motel was not in good condition but rooms were nice.O
Brand new, very clean, large spacious room with comfy bed, nice sofa, kitchenette. The hotel is on the lake so nice views. Good location- not far from the cute downtown and shops. Breakfast was good with microwave egg omelets and sandwiches.
The folks there were very kind and helpful. The room was clean, and the hotel was easy to locate. It was a good hotel for the price, and they made my stay very easy. I would happily stay there again the next time I visit Hot Springs.
Everything is new and clean. Bed is comfy. Kitchen and bathroom are spotless. Great lake view and great location with less than 15-min drive from downtown Hot Springs. Would definitely return if we visit Arkansas again!
Very clean and staff was super friendly and helpful with directions. Great value! This is an older hotel but like I stated earlier, very clean. Planning on staying here on future visits to Hot Springs.
It is a historical hotel. My grandmother worked there as a telephone operator in the early 1900's so as I had to be in Hot Springs for an event and the price wasn't too high, I decided to stay there.
Breakfast was good. Location was good. Hotel could have been better cared for, trash can outside was constantly overflowing. Carpet in our room needed to be restretched. Staircase dirty.
Comfortable room, good walk-in shower.there was a severe thunderstorm warning while we were there, but we were absolutely park in their parking garage to avoid any hailstones.
Great service from the moment you walked in. Room was super clean and beautiful view of the water. Had small restaurant/bar down stairs with live music. Would highly recommend
Ii loved everything about the room and my stay but it was toocdark I didn't like the lighting could use brighter light bulbs because I like a lot of light
